Summer isn’t over yet! Time to take advantage of the sunny, summer heat and get out in this big, beautiful city. If you are wondering what kinds of things are happening this weekend, we got you covered:
1. Drink a cool, refreshing Longslice brew, either in the comforts of home or at one of your local bars!
2. Fests on fests on fests: There are so many festivals happening this weekend that it’s tough to keep up! A couple that stand out are CloudFest, in celebration of all things hookah, vape and more. You do have to be over 19 years old, but if you are interested, the fest is happening at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. There is also a craft beer festival happening right in the CNE! Peruse some local craft beer your heart desires and sample some nibbles from the surrounding food trucks!
3. Go cuckoo for coconuts! If you love this super food, you are going to love Canada’s 3rd Annual Coconut Festival and Marketplace. Eat, sip and smooth on some cocnut lotion at David Pecaut Square!
4. Farmers’ Markets galore: Wherever you are in the city, get to one of your local farmers’ markets to get fresh produce! Nothing beats eating a delicious, homegrown fruit or vegetable. Support your local farmers!
5. If you love Kensington Market, you are going to love Pedestrian Sunday! In its 13th season, this event closes off the roads to vehicles and gives walkers a chance to wander at their own pace.
6. Get your friends and get to the island! Take a tour of the different paths by bicycle and discover everything that the island has to offer. You will also learn a little bit of history, too!
7. If you like dancing, you will love this party: Keys N Krates is headlining this year's Birthday Party at the Sunnyside Pavilion and we guarantee your feet won’t stop.
One of the best things about Toronto is the summer! Let's make sure we get out there and enjoy everything that is being offered. Even if large events aren't your thing, one of the best things to do is to fill a cooler with ice to keep your Hopsta La Vista and Loose Lips Lager cold and invite some friends over. Nothing says summer more than sipping on some suds with a group of your closest buds. Stay safe out there!
