Looking for something cultural to do outside the city, but not too far away? Join us at the Because Beer Festival in Hamilton! Because why not?
Hamilton is a thriving metropolis that is building an identity of its own. Some young couples have already flocked to the less busy, more affordable option to our big beautiful Toronto. The nice thing about Hamilton is it’s not too far away from us and has its own cultural activities along with a growing food scene.
So, if you need to beat the heat this weekend, grab some friends and spend it sipping some cool beverages with us!
The Because Beer Festival will be on the Hamilton Harbour. It will feature some of Ontario’s best and brightest craft beers from Abe Erb Brewing Co. based in Waterloo to West Avenue Cider Co., a Hamilton local.
If you feel like driving, make sure you bring your designated driver (tickets are cheaper for DD’s) and/or bunk up in a hotel or B&B. Whether or not your whole crew is hoping to drink, the festival organizers have put together a list of tips on getting to the fest!
Not only will there be an abundance of beer, but bring your appetites as some of the best eats around will be serving plates from their food trucks. Nibble, sip and swing away to live music! And don't forget, you will also be able to learn something new about beer with some educational speakers!
Summer is the perfect excuse to get outside of the big city and explore the areas around it!
