There are a lot of events happening this long weekend in Toronto! For those of you who weren’t able to make it to the Muskoka Griffin Session (where we’ll be this weekend!), here’s what’s happening around the big city:
Caribana: This annual festival is celebrating its 48th year in Toronto! Food, dance, parades, bright colours and events will be spread around town! This festival draws over a million people from all over into the big city. If you don’t know which events to check out, take a look at the full list of family-friendly and nightlife events events here.
OVO Festival: Drake is back to host his 7th annual OVO Festival in the 6ix! This time, he’s moving it from the Molson Ampitheatre to the Air Canada Centre and it’s going to last all long weekend long. Performances from Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa were on Friday, but Drake, Future and the OVO Bounce basketball tournament are all included in this weekend’s festivities.
Veld: Today and tomorrow, some of the biggest names in electronic music will be spinning at Downsview Park. The Chainsmokers, Deadmau5 and Flume are just a few of the big names to drop. Single day tickets are still available for Sunday, ICYMI, and if you don’t have a car, like a lot of city dwellers, just take the TTC.
For all those city folk who prefer smaller crowds and chilling at home, there is important news to share! A lot of businesses will be closed on Monday, including some LCBOs. But, have no fear, we got a full list here.
