12 Beers of Christmas @ The Gladstone Hotel: If you love wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and drinking local, craft beer, you might want to check out this event. This is an all-you-can-taste beer drinking night, so bring your A game.
5th Annual Human Rights Film Festival @ Hot Docs: ‘Tis the season for thinking of those in need and what better way to support basic human rights than to attend this festival? Take a peek at the full schedule here.
Evergreen’s Winter Village @ Evergreen Brick Works: What’s that? Another Christmas market? You heard correctly and the setting for this one will remind you of hanging out in the country sipping on some spiked apple cider. There’s a new Street Food market, vendors and, to top it off, it’s free!
DJ Skate Nights @ the Harbourfront: International DJs will be spinning beats on ice so you can keep warm by dancing the night away. If Nathan Phillips Square is too family friendly, this might be the place for you to jam out.
Winter Solstice @ Kensington Market: Join other Torontonians to celebrate the return of the sun. Expect a lot of lanterns and free love on the shortest day of the year. Just one more sleep after this festival until the days become longer.
City of Toronto Christmas Concert @ City Hall: Just in case you are city-bound for the holidays, Toronto will be throwing its annual Christmas concert. Local choirs sing warmth into your heart and jolly Saint Nick will also be making an appearance.
What’s in the box @ The Drake Hotel: A mini music festival to bring you out of your holiday feast coma. This is a boxing-week party that hosts a new lineup every night for 5 nights. This is the 10th year the festival has been going on so it’s a bit of a tradition.
Solaris Winter Music Festival @ Polson Street: All the dancing. ‘Nuff said.
NYE party @ Nathan Phillips Square: Just in case you don’t have tickets to an event or decided to forego the house party, there is a massive party happening right downtown. DJs, performers and hot chocolate will be served all night until midnight. Party down!
